Foster Care

Kindergarten

Today when I picked Branten up from school he handed me a small piece of paper encouraging people to become foster parents.  When he asked what it said I started to explain that some moms and dads don't know how to take care of their kids and sometimes they are mean to them.  Sometimes they hurt them or ignore them.  Then people like dad come in and tell them that they aren't taking very good care of their kids and they are going to take them out of the home until they can learn how to take care of their kids.  Then they need good homes for these kids to live in while their moms and dads learn how to take care of them.  They need people that can take care of the kids and be nice to them and feed them, and that is what Foster Care is.  When I finished he looked at me reallly sad and said, "Well that's sad."  I said, "Yes it is".
It is so good to see that he has a tender heart and sympathy for others.
